Veterinary physiotherapy is an evidence-based health care profession working closely with the veterinary
profession to ensure the correct diagnosis and treatment of animals.
What it does
Physiotherapy aims to do many things, all of them positive – including restoring and maintaining mobility,
function and performance, as well as reducing pain and inflammation (and therefore recovery time).
We believe that physiotherapy and rehabilitation is integral to the conservative and pre- and post-operative
management of, in particular, animals with orthopaedic, neurological and soft tissue issues, enhancing their recovery.
Multiple steps, for enhanced recovery
Working closely with our colleagues in the clinical services team,
in-house physiotherapy based on referral will help a) maximise recovery and b) restore function. Plus, to ensure ongoing recovery
long after surgery has ended, we create a home exercise programme too.
